If you, as many of us have a free copy of Windows 10 you upgraded to from Windows 8, theres is an update released today that converts that copy to a fully supported as-if purchased status.

Beware that when this is loaded, only Windows Edge will be loaded, and all other browsers, with any saved log-ins and passwords will be deleted.

Back up your preferred browsers imp[important info to an HTML or other file, - either way export bookmarks and passwords so thay are available when you re install your favourite browser.

My W10 updated last night but no issues so far. It would help to know which version you have? My version is 1903 OS Build 18362.356

I use Edge anyway out of choice but I do have Firefox and Chrome as well as the Old Explorer to test my website. None of those have disappeared yet.

1903 build 18362.356

Same as you. But FF and CVhrome were deleted as well as all bookmarks, etc. Edge was not my default browser.

Edge BTW is not fully colour managed. It defaults to the monitor profile when displays half colour managed images.

Maybe I just got lucky! It might only affect those using a default browser other than Edge.

Mine updated also last night to the same build, but no problems with my default Firefox - all working as usual.

So I did some more digging. It appears that Edge randomly has been doing just this since 2018, for no apparent reason, and no reason given by MS. So I seemed to have simply been unlucky this time.

Incidentally it applied another updtate after the initial one, though the build numbers have stayed the same.

BTW I have Windows 10 Home.

Mine also updated without a hitch but then it always does.

Although, having said that, I wouldn't know if Edge was playing up as I've never used it.

I'm using Windows 10 Pro.
