Worth buying a drone?

Toying with the idea of buying a drone.
I know which one I want (DJI Mini 2) but have no experience of flying them or airial photography.

My concern is the UK law and/or any potential problems with the general public or any other unforseen arising problem.

Any experience or views would be gratefully received before spending my money.

I bought a small one to try and couldn't master it in the living room let alone outside...🤣🤣

Maybe try one in a shop?

The people I know who have bought drones never seem to own them for very long.

The devices either get stuck high up in a tree or crash and disintegrate! 🤣

You have chosen a great drone and it suitable for most people.

The secret with a drone is to take your time, just think of it as a camera on a large tripod.

Feel free to message me for advice or come over to mine to try before you buy one
