Wrong Exif Data

25 Jul 2022 5:37PM
I have a Sigma 70-200mm 1:2.8 APO DG HSM lens which I use on my Nikon D750. The Exif Data always show that the focal length used is 140mm although I have used a 200mm focal length. The image is ok, but the only problem is the wrong focal length in the exif data. Has anyone got this problem?

I can't throw any light on this problem, but over the years in the Critique Gallery I have become aware that Exif data is not infallible!
My D7500 goes through patches of recording a -1 stop exposure compensation when this has not been set (or adjusting a setting by -1, so that +0.3 will appear as -0.7). Then after a day or so it will go back to normal. The actual images are not affected, so I live with it...

Thanks. So, I am not alone to have that kind of problems!
