Yongnuo YN560 TX

Can anyone tell me if a YN560-TX Transmitter will work with my Olympus OM-D E-M1, if so which model would I purchase, the Canon or Nikon model?

Neither will work on an Olympus camera - you need a trigger specifically for Olympus just as you would need one specifically for Nikon, Canon, Sony, Fuji etc. Each brand has a different hot shoe pin arrangement and firmware.

The YN560-TX Transmitter will work from any standard hot shoe including Olympus. All the Nikon and Canon branded models do is have the facility to enable those cameras to wake up the transmitter from its battery saving mode. Just in case you are not aware the YN560TX is for manual flash only and will only trigger receivers using the Yongnuo 602 or 603 wireless protocols. Some of Yongnuo's current flashguns have these receivers built in and allow remote adjustment of power, zoom and permit allocation these settings to one of 6 groups from the YN560-TX.

Apologies. I stand corrected - should have done my research before replying.
