Your Favourite Lens

I have a favourite lens but seldom use it, so perhaps I need to change my shooting style. My go to lens is my100-400mm lens for wildlife, but when I pick up my 70-200 f2.8 I think to myself I love this lens I should use it more but then it doesn't have the reach but it feels so good in my hands

Nikon 40mm F/2.8 micro. I bought it years ago for a specific purpose, because it will focus very close - I got it to be able to get right up to the glass for museum exhibits. But I have found more and more uses for it. It's wonderful for details, it has a sort of caressing quality; but also good for portraits, a friend even used hers very successfully for nudes.

Fuji 16-80 f/4 (FF equivalent approx. 24-105) is my 'default' lens which live on the camera and is used for about 95% of all my images. The versatile range is perfect for a walk-around lens and suits my style perfectly.
Second on my list would be the 50-140 (FF: 70-210) with which I take the other 5% of images...

Canon 70-200 f2.8 without doubt, limited opportunities to use it of late though, but quite successfully with an extender too....😊
Amongst my Fuji kit is the Fujinon 50-140 f2.8 imho in the same league as the Canon if not better, certainly lighter, that performs well with an extender too, but really enjoy the 35mm f2 for portraiture and close up......

I totally agree. This lens was one of the reasons I was able to move from Canon to Fuji...as you say, it is as good as the 70-200 f/2.8, which was one hell of a lens coupled with my 5Diii, which was my absolute fav when I used Canon...

I guess the lens I have used most often is my Canon 24-105mm IS L and probably have used this for over 75% of my images. However, my favourite is probably the Canon 70-200mm f2.8 IS L but I often leave it at home as it is so heavy. It will get even less use now that I have bought a much lighter Sony ML camera.
