Last Wednesday - text from DHL "Your parcel has been loaded for delivery and is expected to be delivered before 20:00."
Nothing.
Fast forward to Thursday, same message, same result.
FF to Friday, one phone call to customer services, where I coldly and calmly told them that if I had to reorganise things for the third day in a row only to still be parcel-less, then they would have to deliver on a day and at time I decided, even if it was inconvenient for them, as I had been inconvenienced for three days. Put on hold while lakei talks to supervisor.
Result? Parcel delivered 3 hours later by a surly driver.
Not the first time with DHL. They have drivers who can't be arrised driving all the way out to us as it's a long way out of town, but when you pay for express delivery to your door...
Nothing.

I'd be furious too with that sort of service. Glad you got it sorted though after all that.

Shouldn't be necessary with all this hassle...hope you get yours sorted asap, too.
I'm getting a delivery of 3 lithium camera batteries via DPD as Royal Mail doesn't like lithium batteries. They emailed me on Tuesday to tell me they were to be delivered on Thursday, which is either 1 or 2 days early and a day when I'm not available. 
I clicked through immediately on their email and redirected the delivery to a shop 1 mile away, where I can then pick up the package anytime in the next week. That's the kind of service I appreciate, and the delivery is free of charge even though I'm in Highland.

I too could have chosen to do this, but for me it's a 40 minute drive there and back, and home delivery was the option chosen...plus, it's a matter of principal -let them get away with it and it makes it easier for them in the future...

Oh no it hadn't!!!!
It had been in chucked in the porch of the next door neighbour despite the other half being in and her car on the drive.
As for being signed for, our good neighbour was completely unaware of the delivery for me and his wife when I knocked on his door.

It's a good job that they are very good neighbours to have.
Some deliveries are brilliant.
Argos recently, ordered 11pm at night, delivered 8:20 next morning.
