Nice shot Jeff everytime I try and get a Heron near us its off before I get the chance so well done. I notice the head is a bit soft compared to the body could be worth trying ISO 400 and increase the aperture a bit for more depth of field if you get another chance.

thanks Eric...this fella was sitting not 10yds from the sea wall and I wondered just how long he would wait before taking off as we got closer...I realised the head was soft....but hadn't appreciated how to widen the dof before. Great advice..will try it out SmileSmile
