Lloyds reflection

By Richsr
One from a trip to London in February, which was a cold day but with some good low light.
I had not got round to processing these but I thought the light and colours with the reflection were worth processing.

Many thanks for all your comments on my last upload still not sure which version to print.

thanks for looking.
Regards Richard

I love the tones in the building on the right. A great image which you have also processed well. Really like the viewpoint too.

Good morning, neighbour! The balance in this composition is excellent due to the inclusion of the functional element of flues and tubing that contrasts with the polish and prestige of the financial sector. The jagged reflections are excellent!

I remember sitting the Glove on that bollard... I didn't see any reflections as good as these! The sky seems to sweep down into the narrow street.

Great capture Richard - Brilliant blue tones in that reflection and the composition is very good. I really like how you've managed the light - maybe choosing a deffrent angle Smile

How far we've travelled from carriages arriving at the Old Lady of Threadneedle Street so many years ago.

The sharp angles and metal pipes are a strange combination which actually work well with the smooth lines of the Gherkin, It's a tremendous image that deserves a large print to get all the detail.

You have found a really good position here Richard. I like the comparison of structure between Lloyds, the Gherkin and the glass clad building on the right.
Was the area crawling with security guards or have they relaxed a little. Last time I was in the area with a camera (only the little ixus) it was Hi-viz hell.

Oh yes!!!! I was challenged outside the Gherkin and asked as to why I was there. I looked at my camera, and then looked at him. 'This is private property Sir!' he said. He wanted to see ID from me, so I asked him what power he was purporting to be using and he mentioned the Terrorism Act!!!! No ID shown and Ijust carried on shooting. The security staff haven't got a clue!
