In Memory

By conrad
This stag has been on my mind all day, so I couldn't resist and had to post a (tweaked) version of a shot of him from my archives.

For those who don't know what happened, see the forum thread .

So this is in memory of a magnificent animal who for many meant a risk-free close encounter with wildlife, a majestic animal that didn't deserve to have his life ended in such a cruel way, especially under the hands of creatures he had come to trust - humans.

Sad news to here about him, I've stopped and sat watching him for a while recently and he came right up and stuck his head inside the car.

Wow, talk about close encounters! He really wasn't afraid of people. Sadly, that probably cost him his life.
