On the Up

By MrsS
Not had a tree for over a week! Wink

So, since I'm suffering (from withdrawal symptoms) you can suffer along with me with this! Tongue

Back to the "secret" location (staying secret - - not enough chocolate yet folks!) and while "the Boys" were pinching the prime locations on t'other side of the hill, I thought the sunlight on the fg rocks and in the valley was a bit nice.

I like the contrast in the sky, too, so I do know that it is perhaps a tad blown on the lh side, does give a nice "high key" effect for the tree branches IMHO (but there again, what do I know)

Hope you like it - - off to reclaim my camera from Mr Sutton (he was out playing this morning with it, whilst I was having a well needed lie-in!)

Thanks for taking the time to visit - - have a good Saturday Smile

Oh, the title refers to the fact that I was virtually sat down to get this one, and nearly ended up with a crick in my neck!

Fran x

EDIT: Just for once, if you can spare the time, LARGE may well be worth the effort Grin

... even with the rain clouds overhead, the sun is still shining through on the ground creating those gorgeous tones. Lovely shot. (And great tree).

Thanks Phil, Carol, Lesley, MrP and Alan Smile

I could tell you where this is, Phil, but then I'd have to kill you Wink

I just sit in the passenger seat, Carol, then set up my camera wherever "The Sutton" parks the car! Grin

I do like my trees, Simon, just prefer NOT to hug 'em Tongue

Cheers All!

Thanks Tom, yes I agree about the sky but feel it adds to the contrast of the tree Smile

Thanks John, Glynnis & Tony Smile

I used my own grads for this one, Tony, but it was VERY bright and I didn't want to overgrad Smile
Paul's camera is back "at the doctors" as they did sort out the shutter mechanism, but not the internittent problem with the shutter button Sad

I know you don't mind it, but I can't get past the blown out sky, so easy to put right, and too dominant to my eye.

I'm sure you're not the only one with that opinion, Jon, but I do appreciate you having the bottle to say so - - might try to find a better exposed one for comparison Smile
