Scottish Squall ...

By sut68
A slight [and temporary] diversion away from the shots I've been putting up of late. Found this one lurking on my HD and realised I hadn't yet posted it.

Taken at a similar time to a previous upload, just as yet another squall past the 'Buckle' in preparation to dump its load on those brave/daft [delete as appropriate] enough to dare to take her picture Wink

Enjoy your weekends folks, hope it stays fine for you.

May not as daft/brave as standing out in a hailstorm, but well worth daring for the result. Nice one Smile

Very nice indeed. What I like about this is you've slowed the water down but it's still clear and we can still see the rocks below the water. Good exposure control.

Ta folks, what captured my eye the most was the upturned triangular rock formation which mirrored the 'Buckle', well, in my mind anyway Wink

Ta all, have a great extended weekend.

sorry paul, should explain myself better.
i just thought the land at the bottom of the mountain, and the mountain itself. looked a little dark and contrasty. compared to your recent shots from this area.

Thanks Gary, Dave, Roy [good idea ... wanna buy it Wink] and Sinead. Your comments mean a lot folks ... night, night Smile

One of my favourite spots on the moor, I don't go often so that it's always a pleasure when I see the water with that mountain behind.
Nice work on this looks like a lot of work on the water, some C1 then PS?

All the very best the weather here is poor in the mornings but has been brightening later,

Cheers Dougie, yes C1 v4 then PS, though hardly any work on the water at all, it was the Cokin colour cast on the sky that needed the work. I wish I lived much nearer to this area, I would be one happy tog if that were the case Wink

Enjoy your weekend my friend,

Great one Paul. I love the way the water is captured in this and the way the light seems to radiate out from behind the base of the Buckle.
