The Whistler

By pentaxpete
A young guard on the Severn Valley Railway 1940's weekend; he posed for me through the carriage window with his whistle- I said " You do not have to blow it as my photos don't come with sound effects!"

Well caught pose. I would tend to trim off the bit of white sky as it tends to distract, although I suspect you wanted to keep in the frame of the door

This is really a great photo. Love it and it really works in Mono. Tells the story, love the inclusion of the goods trucks in the background , the way you have framed the subject.
I don't know if this is a candid, or a historic re-creation but it works.
in fact a dam fine bit of work from you mate... Just hate your guts for taking a conest winner, whish I had you eye for a subject, and just to rub it in you used a Rolleicord you swine.
