Last Line of Defence Re-visited

By AntHolloway
I've revisited one of my shots from about a year ago and the EPZ meet at Spurn Point. Having watched Paul Morgan's DVD on the way he works with his images I thought I'd try his techniques out on this.

I normally use Paint Shop Pro X2, so I need to refine some of the adjustments made using Photoshop, but it is interesting to see the different effects in use.

Three shots merged in Photomatix, ISO 200, f/16, 1/160, 1/40, 1/10s.

I've put my previous version as a variant.

Love the light in this, and those colours on the netting really stand out well.

Like the light and colour of V1, but find the colours of the nets way to bright to be 'real'. A little bit less colour here would work for me.

Yes I agree the orange is a bit much, as I say I'm just finding my way on this particular method.

Well, I like the image, and it is, generally an improvement - but the orange is a bit overcooked for my tastes. Carol

Great first attempt with the tutorial Ant, I've PM'd you regarding the "overcooked" colours.
