A Sunday morning fungal photographic opportunity following hot on the heels of the previous one that was so successful. This time we will try the other side of the Forest where we should find some different species.
Parking is slightly less straightforward for access to Dur Hill. The best bet is to park in the verge on the side of the road (but beware that not all New Forest verges are suitable for this activity being made of peat bog!)
Meet at Thoney Hill - the cross roads of Burley Road and Braggers Lane/Forest Road. Park on the left in Bragger's lane, this is signposted to Avon Tyrrell. (Forest Road is signed to Holmsley camp site) See map.
For those wishing to do so there is a Steam Cider Pressing Event in Burley that weekend so refreshment and further photographic opportunities are possible!
