Hi All,
Ok, so i go to Spurn Point and find it one of the most interesting places that i have ever been to. I upload a few images and get PM'd from EPZ members asking questions. I decided to put a narrative on the site to give members a taste of the place (look in Photo Locations section & serch on SPURN POINT). Anyway, we are suggesting a meet for Saturday 23rd August for all members who fancy it. Some of us will be staying overnight Friday and possibly Saturday, but of course this is not compulsary, but if you want details give me a shout. I am sure that after you have read the PHOTO LOCATION REVIEW, it will wet your appitite for what should be a great day out weather permitting. I have put a start of 10:30 and no end time. These times are provisional and we will take it as it comes. Obviously we will decide on a start time but i think that the meeting place should be the CROWN & ANCHOR pub car park, Kilnsea Rd Kilnsea Hull Humberside HU12 0UB. Any questions PM me please.

Glynn,
Which hotel are you staying in and how much is it? The wife mentioned that it might be a good idea to stay over the night before. Personally I didn't want to push my luck, but seeing as she mentioned it I thought I'd look into it.
I am planning to get over for this one. Spurn has been on my list to do for way too long now. This links to the Spurn Bird Observatory website. It has lots of general info about Spurn and shows abit more of the place.
Cheers Steve
Don't forget your sheet on photographing in public places.
Quote: Due to the increased size of the gas terminal and the percieved threat there is now a major police presence in the area with armed patrols around the terminal and several vehicles patroling the general area. We have it from the horses mouth that you will not be shot if you're birding around the favoured areas near the gas terminal but obviously you can expect to be stopped and asked what you're doing.
I'll add my Thanks too, a really fun time was had by all, I think (certainly by me).
Remind me to tell you about the "entertainment" in the Pub on Saturday night
Our accomodation was superb, I'd really recommend it to anyone heading to Spurn who needs somewhere to stay - - nothing is too much trouble for either Sue or Andrew, and Sue runs the Tea-rooms on the bend to the point too. link

Hi All,
Well what a superb weekend and boy did we have some laughing .
I would like to thank all of you guys & gals for helping me set this meet up and for turning up. There are some stunning images that have been uploaded already and i wonder who will get the first EC out of all of us (Paul) . I stayed at the pub on Spurn (crown & anchor) and i will give it 10/10 for food, beer, comfort & superb company. Thanks again all and cant wait to do it again very very soon.
Cheers
Glynn
