A new year of meets begins for the South East Group
Last year we had a meet in every month of the year. We travelled as far afield as the isle of Wight to Chatham in Kent, a maginificent weekend meet in the New forest and many more. We came out in rain, wind and sun and great fun was had by all.
This year we are kicking off with something we haven't done:
The Brighton Challenge. This is a mixture of ideas and meets, some of which we have done in the past but never all at one meet.
One camera, one lens. Preferably a prime lens but if you do not have a prime then a zoom at a fixed focal length of your choice, but all pictures must be taken at your elected choice throuhout the entirety of the meet.
The images posted must be straight from camera. To this end they will have to be jpeg and must not be altered in anyway; no crops, no straightening, no boosting of contrast/colour etc or any other post processing in photoshop et al. You may switch from mono to colour if your camera allows but the only other parameters that can be changed are shutter speed, aperture, iso and exposure comp.
There will be a list of thirty subjects to photograph in a specified time and this will be distributed on the day. The subjects will be open to interpretation and imagination and you will have six hours to photograph as many as you can.
No prizes, just for fun.
All are welcome to join the fun. Kick off outside Brighton Pier (That's the Palace Pier to you old 'uns) at 10:00 so suggest meeting at 09:45
