So here is your challenge for this week - take an image of a clock. Inspired by Dave's entry last week and also allowing for those not wanting to venture outside. As well as a time piece, clock has a variety of slang uses so feel free to interpret as you wish (oh dear, just realised that might encourage another selfie Tongue).

Don't forget those all important rules:

1. The challenge is just for fun.
2. All images must be taken after the theme is announced.
3. All images must be uploaded by 8pm on Wednesday
4. All uploads must be B&W (or sepia toned)
5. Only one upload per member
6. The person who hosts is the judge for that week challenge and the judge’s decision is final
7. The winner gets to create, run and judge the challenge for the following week
8. Don't run out of time
9. Have fun

Good luck!

Thanks Phil.... that's another shot of the clock tower, and also breakfast as my favourite cafe is right next to the bus stand Smile

Mrs D will understand it's all in the interest of photograph not just bacon Wink

I did think about one of the clock towers I've used before but went on a town trip instead.
One of the town churches gave the best result so ... In with a B&W of Stranton Church.
A 5 shot HDR to dramatic output in Affinity then work to B&W in Luminar 4 with a sky replacement.

The clock is running down; less than 24h to go before the judgement begins. I've clocked 3 entries so far including some strange Norwegian table setting 🙄

So don't waste any time getting those images posted: you have to be in it to win it☺

Sorry about the delay - got distracted watching a documentary about the Yorkshire Ripper. Back soon with a judgement.

A gentleman I worked with was questioned on this. He was a regular commuter by train from Middlesbrough to Leeds.
We told him he just looked the part....

Presumably part of the theory that the killer was from Teeside due to the accent on a tape sent to the police that they put undue emphasis on rather than realise it was a hoax.

Anyway down to business. As always a difficult job judging with a good variety of images. I liked the clock towers from Dave and Peter and amused by the saga of Anti Clokkwyse. Really liked Eddie's alarm clock in motion - particularly disconcerting with the motionless second hand but my winner this week with a beautifully detailed and lit pocket watch is our IL, Alison.

Well done, all hail and over to you.

A belated thanks Phil - apologies for the delay - I'd gone off to my bed early last night and am currently a tad busy at the office.

I will have a new challenge set before the end of the day - I shall try to put some thought into it during my lunchbreak......
