Time for the next weekly instalment of your macro challenge. And first of all, I'm going to apologise for being late setting this one - I got busy at work and completely forgot to post it. Not my finest moment. And certainly not something I can say I'm proud of. Which brings me nicely to this week's topic - PROUD.

For me, a good photograph usually works because it evokes a positive emotion in the viewer. And the viewer we are trying to reach is usually someone else. But this week I'm going to encourage you all to be very self-indulgent. I would like you to take a photograph that evokes a positive emotion for you - specifically, pride. I would like you to take (and hopefully share with the rest of us Wink ) a photograph of something that makes you feel PROUD of yourself.

Now, the thing with pride is it comes in various sizes and can be very transient. It could be something about you/your personality/your job or something you do/did/made/achieved - it really doesn't matter. For the purposes of this challenge I'm looking for something that has made you feel proud at some point in your life. It may be a large or small achievement. It may be something you are still proud of or something that you were proud of at the time but no longer. Everything from the badge you got for swimming a width when you were 5 to the Nobel-winning scientific paper you wrote yesterday ( Grin Grin Grin ). Whatever it is (or was) it's perfect for this one. And, if you would like to, please feel free to share the story - I'm sure we'd all love to hear it!

The rules, as always, are:

1. The challenge is just for fun.
2. All images must be taken after the theme is announced.
3. The challenge runs from 8pm on the Sunday and runs until 8pm the following Sunday.
4. Only one upload per member.
5. Please feel free to comment on the entries once judging is complete.
6. The person who hosts is the judge for that week challenge and the judge’s decision is final.
7. The winner gets to create, run and judge the challenge for the following week.
8. Indulge yourself, have fun and smile!
9. Keep it clean please! Thanks.

19th May. It'll be our 30th wedding anniversary that day. I suppose it's something to be proud of to have stuck it out for so long.

Very much so! Congratulations to you both, albeit a week early? 🍾🥂🎉

After a bit of rooting around in the dusty bits of the house....
I think it was my first ever medal for anything.

Someone said I should take up a sport - and you lay down to shoot SmileSmileTongue

Sadly, I don't have any of my medals for athletics any more. My mother threw them away because she said they were rubbish and not worth anything.

That's really sad! ☹️ But the memory of your achievement clearly lives on strong and proud. And no one can take that away. Maybe you can shoot some equipment or something instead to symbolise your achievements and tell us all your story?
Or maybe there's something else from your adult life that brings you great pride?
It doesn't need to be the medals themselves...

I still hold two track records from my old school, and I can guarantee no-one has ever been close to breaking them.
In 1968 I set school records for the 440 and 880 yards, and that was the last year yards were used before the change to metric distances...

What on earth are yards? I must be too young to know what you're on about... 🐣 😇

A yard is what Americans call a back garden...

Yard is also an obselete name for a penis. And no, Malc, I'm not bragging.

That's what I like about these challenges....... we all go the 'whole nine yards' in banter.

Is that three of you each putting a foot in it...?! 🤔
