Wedding bells

By PhotoLinda
Stained glass bells in decorative boxes.

I made a whole batch of these glass bells as favours when I married Mr PL. I didn't want to give sugared almonds because in my experience they rarely, if ever, get eaten. So I made these instead. The bows on the tops were the same colour as my bridesmaids' dresses. The bells doubled up as place settings.

I presented them in their little protective boxes, each one decorated by me too. The little 'sprays' of flowers include wired crystals which I made to be identical to the ones I made made and had incorporated in my bouquet.

The notes on the top, urging guests to hang them up at home to celebrate their own anniversaries (or Christmas) were also designed and printed by me.

So lots of DIY in this image. And lots of treasured memories too. 😊

In case you're interested... I acquired my stained glass skills on a weekend course which Mr PL had previously bought me for a birthday. And the equipment I used to make them was a Christmas present from him too. Spoiled silly I definitely do consider myself! 😉
