This is a mural my Daughter painted on her Bedroom wall, she flew the nest a few years ago so we feel its safe to re claim the room now and today it will be covered up with Vinyl Silk Emulsion, so whilst working in the room for the past couple of days, I have been playing around with ideas to capture the Mural.
The Mural (along with the other walls) has had a couple of passes with my Bosch Palm Sander to give it a more distressed look Grin .

Lighting set up is one small 150w Halogen mini studio light placed high up to the right of the Camera, used a small plastic tube to act as snoot for the spot light effect that I wanted.
Stand for the Light was Miele extendable Vacuum Cleaner metal tube, which the mini Light fitted into perfectly, the tube was then clamped into a Black & Decker Workmate.

As the Face of the Fairy is well above head height I had to place several years worth of Computeractive Magazines under the Tripod legs, to get the Camera level and for the first time ever I used the Cameras built in spirit level.

With the story this picture works well
Colours are interesting
subject matter is clever

Without the story this is passable but not that interesting enough to catch and hold you.
The picture looks faded and worn and the colours look tired
Great effort with a difficult subject congrats
