It looks like the Soften Skin brush has been used on her cheek and the effect has spilled over into the hair ... as if the brush was set at high softness

But then again you said you only cropped the image

So unless you accidentally still had the soften skin brush switched on, I can't really guess

Thanks for the full size image.

Is there a reason the file size is so small? Its only 160kb, I would expect larger from the camera? It suggests theres been a lot of compression; its not necessarily the cause, but its part of it perhaps as one of the violin strings also disappears at one point. Is the file directly from the camera larger, - I assume you shot either largest JPEG or raw?

If you have the largest file, upload it also.

And unprocessed... That matters.

Weird, though - we saw this sort of thing a while back with highly compressed files. Best, always, to upload the full size image, and let EPZ resize for display. The site copes well with my 42mp Sony files.

What JPEG quality are you shooting at? Whats the size of a file typically from the camera? This image is even smaller. Again, not saying its the problem for sure, but it could be. Are you re-sizing for uploading to EPZ?

Similar things seem to be happening in other, less obvious areas - and in both extra images. The resizing issue and the original quality are definitely pertinent.

You need, I think, to be uploading highest quality JPG files, at the full out of camera number of pixels on each side, whatever that is for a 5D III - the review on this site says 5700 on the long side. The site will resize, but if you have already reduced things in either respect. bad things happen, quality-wise.
