EDIT: Version 2 is my preferred version now, after joolsb's rightful suggestion about the colour cast. Better to view that version first.

Study of a fungal growth on the side of a rock. Circular Polariser used at the capture stage.

Thanks for looking,
Michael. Smile

Great abstract,i might have been tempted to have cropped the blurred bit at the top. Do like your work though.

Fascinating abstract! A little too magenta, perhaps?

Thanks all.

Yes, perhaps a little on the magenta side, Julian. Some of the shots I've had back using Velvia have had a magenta colour cast and in most instances I've corrected for it. Decided to roll with it here, however, but I've uploaded a variant with it removed if you care to look at it (and on reflection, your suggestion is the stronger shot).

I can see why you'd crop it, Tez. I left the blurry parts there as I intentionally shot wide open to render some of the shot blurred, and hopefully leading the eye towards the sharp part of the photo.
