Well I'm back just Smile still having problems post chest infection :-( but I am getting there slowly but surely !! I have tried to keep up with all your excellent photos even if I have only voted (apologies for not commenting )

This is one from the archives, taken on Newport quay, which is now filled with boats various, being scrubbed, scraped and generally sorted in readiness for the new season. This yacht has been scrubbed & scraped and is now awaiting the next stage Smile hope it appeals

Thank you all so much for all your C&C's very much appreciated

Thanks for taking the time to look

Hugh

Looks as though the boat is limping along on crutches.
Keep warm, I find a hot toddy of whisky, lemon and honey a great help.
Or just whisky...

You have made excellent use of some fine light once again, Hugh, and produced a dynamic nautical abstract of high quality.
If a hot toddy doesn't do the job, have another Wink

Take better care of yourself now, Hugh. I find this very interesting, as I know how much work it needs before painting. Lovely light, texture and compo with the support. The curving shadow with the added piece of wood is a bonus.

Hugh,
Rest up and get fully healthy -- especially for the upcoming holiday season.
An interesting shot here. I like your point of view. It adds a nice bit of tension.

Glad you explained this one as I wouldn't have know - you don't get a lot of boats undergoing this kind of refit around the Border hills Grin Lovely lines, texture and tones making for a fine image.

Glad you are feeling better.
