*** Anyone fancy a game of footy? *** - Moon

By HobbitDave
I don't know about you, but when the full moon is there it is sort of compulsion to 'have a go', despite having had many previous 'goes' with a camera. Taken with an old Sigma 600mm mirror lens and 2x converter (all 1970s manual focus kit off **bay costing not very much at all.
Overall magnification is equivalent aprox to 2000mm on my EOS 450D.
Well.....it did look like a giant football...
Dave.
P.S. Thanks for the nice comments on the fun/crazy pictures of Ozzie on Sunday, not my usual, but a bit of fun.

One of the best moon shots I have seen, Dave, with the 'old lens and converter' working a treat for you to give this fab. shot.

Fantastic Dave. I saw the moon last night - glowing bright in full day light so it was easy to perceive how quickly it rises - what a wonderful sight it was last night and you have captured it magnificently.

You always manage to get super shots of the moon Dave and this is no exception.Much better than anything I have managed with my manual lenses and 2x converter from **bay. Nicely captured.

You did well to capture this much detail. I took a shot last night with a 200mm telephoto. I was compelled to because it looked so bright and irresistible. Your image is superb and well worth the effort.

Have a go, M, with the Manor as a silhoutte? Sounds lovely.
