I like the simplicity, I like the square crop, I like the blues & I like your thinking.. perhaps, just perhaps may have worked slightly better putting those handles on the 'line of thirds' but then that would be conforming to the norm' so well done for not complying! Aw you know what I mean.. hmm but then your title.. I get it now!

A triumph of minimalism, the metalwork stands out really well and the water colours are rich and unctuous. The rails are so bright they'd withstand a wider view for added minimalism/a different image (unless there are distractions just out of frame?) but I expect you covered all possibilities when you were shooting there. This is a beauty! Smile

Thanks everyone I wasn't sure about this one but Al I think you hit the nail on the head , I'll give it another go with a wider view , cheers Smile

Wider, closer, any of the thirds.... this is so strong I think you could produce quite a few equally good variations.

Very creative shot of something that a lot of people have seen but not thought of as picture worthy.

Excellent stuff again Jeremy. If it were mine I would have the rails more to the left as it's a little too central for me but since it's yours and you've gone with the square format then central is probably how you saw it, a fantastic shot with numerous cropping possibilities .

Outstanding image Jeremy. I agree that this could be done in a number of different ways with regard to positioning and a wider view would give a greater sense of isolation but this is superb in its own right. I wish it was mine.

This is such a strong to the point image mate. Love the tone of the sea against the silver lit hand rails...very cool.

Paul.
