I've come back to this several times over the course of the morning. It's got something which I like very much although I can't quite put it into words.

This shot just pulls you in - that's what it is; it's somewhat mesmerizing!
I have an old Brownie box camera - wonder if it would take a decent image.

I remember a few years back when they gave some of the countries top photographers cheap cameras to try and prove that it was'nt the camera that made the shot, but the man behind the camera, they proved the point Mark, enough said. its the man..

Played for ages with this, if you run the image up and down that light moves in quite a mesmerising fashion ...agree with Bernie above, well said.

Just revisited. You've used the Holga in a wonderful way: you've catched a near abstract scene that has no needs for details -- which the Hoolga isn't good at -- and that dominates the scene and lets the Holga's signature play second fiddle only. What so often goes wrong with the Holga crowd is that they go mad over ordinary light leaks and blur; kind of the opposite of Leica users who claim that only a Leitz Leica lens has real bokeh. Love this. Shortlisted. Bert

Mark it's ironic that I should give this photo my award where I am a sucker for your Mamiya and Olympus shots mostly. But this one is so simple and yet strong in the story it tells of the power of classic iconic scenes that I thought it fitting not to wait any longer for the ultimate shot but award this one. Only a great photographic mind can use a Holga in truly interesting ways. Terrific. Bert
