Good one emma ... are you shooting on a backdrop or erasing the background? *click*

Steffi we use a white background but it never seems to stay all white-kinda off white if that makes sense so I have to alter it in ps.

I had the same issue. Its very easy for reflected light from other objects in the room to stain the background. What you really need is a blacked out room with black matt walls and a black floor! I used to have a terrible 'pinky' effect on mine until I realised that the orange curtains behind the backdrop were causing it. I removed the curtains and blacked out the window with card and it stopped happening!

What flash are you using? If you're getting serious about studio work it may be time for a lighting kit? The Jessops Portaflash 3 system includes 2 main units and 2 slaves. I put the slaves behind the backdrop to throw some extra light on it. You can also filter them to change the colour of the backdrop! Now I have the EOS 20D I can have the main flash on full power so I get pure white images now. Have a look at my new portfolio on www.steffilewis.net and there's a few singles of Ben and Amber that were shot with the new setup.

Take Care ... keep on posting these great images Smile
