The old pond;
A frog jumps in —
The sound of the water
RH Blyth's translation of Basho's famous Haiku. I am sure you must know it. (This was the first Haiku I came across).
And one of my all time favourites:
A blind child
guided by his mother,
admires the cherry blossoms
Can you not feel the texture, smell the scent?
I love what you've done here. Combining Haiku with imagery is a great idea, combining two immensely enjoyable creative outlets.
I have added you to my favourites as I hope you will be continuing along your Haiku journey of observation.
Regards, Ken
