Well done you for doing stuff out of your comfort zone.

Im not good at stuff like this so I dont feel as if I can comment.

However, I love how you have captured the guy under the clock, its nice that he is not looking straight at you.

Keep trying and it will be less scary Smile

Have fun with your son Smile

Nothing to rip apart. A very well captured candid and IMO absolutely right in mono.

Like it Dave - for me I would have croped out the pump handles on the rhs as they are a bit distracting - but then it might alter the balance of the image. Well captured.
regards Richard.

Subject matter is perfectly suited to mono Dave, I like the movement in the hand, the expression on the chap under the clock. Plenty of detail for the viewer to take on board, great title, and a good candid.

A great candid shot with lots to look at and enjoy The pump handle is a little bit distracting. If it was'nt there you would see the money easier and that adds to the story I think.

I don't think you need any lessons. Well seen and captured, mono is perfect. I would leave the beer pump handles, they say "bar" rather than "table" more distinctly than anything else.

I love it, and it only being 14:07 there is more than enough time to knock a few more back, really great and the mono does it justice

It's good to stray out of the comfort zone occasionally. This works - but I approve of Richard's suggestion of cropping off the pump handles, that would focus attention on faces and hands.
Hope you stray out of zone some more, it can get addictive though!

What's with the 24 hour clock thing - or is it the score in pints between the two geezers?

Interesting capture...I agree that a crop from the right would tighten it up more, but nice candid none the less.

Like it Dave. Its much "cleaner " without the pumps but they do add something to the scene.I'll bet that guy has sat under the clock for years.

Timeless, yet dominated by the huge clock.
