175 @ 1836

By Graysta
Grosmont and the NYMR came back to this site this week by the northscape visit .This week the NYMR turned 175 years of Whitby to Pickering Railway on 26/05/ 1836 was the year. The train leaving Grosmont @ 1836 was Eric Treacy (45428) named after the Bishop of Wakefield and noted railway photographer. It should have been hauled by Tornado but insurance details deemed it not to be. Somehow the NYMR's in house Black5 rebuild seemed to fit the bill.
Thanks for looking.

A really nice mono. Like the insinuation if time as the subject. At look back with the steam train and the present with the clock showing the time.

Like it alot

I keep getting drawn back to Grosmont/Goathland, I was there last November. A worthy conversion to mono is this. I hope you are keeping well Graham Smile
