There has been very little sunshine here, so few shadows.....this is the best I could do.
The Bangor Public Library is a beautiful building in the center of the city. It was started in 1830 by the Bangor Mechanic Association. It was destroyed in the Great Fire of 1911, and rebuilt in this form in 1912 in the American Renaissance Style. It has since had several renovations, including one in 1997 paid for by the generosity of the Stephen and Tabitha King. It remains a vibrant center of learning and community,

A beautifully ornate building which looks in good repair rebuilt in the year my mother was born.

Worth saving the brick and stone work are top notch . Really like the knobby brick design - And worth the nice photo Joline !
