Copying old negatives and came across this from 1994, a 6x6 taken on a Rolleicord. Mine was a strange machine that I only ever got 11 frames from instead of 12 on the 120 film.
Taken on a dreadful holiday in Lanzarote. We'd booked to go to Fuerteventura with our 2 years old daughter, the holiday was cancelled and we were sent to Lanzarote, where the hotel we'd been given was also overbooked. Put up in temporary accommodation for two days and then moved to a ramshackle hotel and a dilapidated apartment where our daughter promptly came down with chickenpox. Those were the days.

I used to spend hours in the old days with a small brush spotting!

I'm tempted to look for an old photo I've got of a deserted Wilderspool Stadium on a non-matchday. A big sign says 'Welcome to Warrington's Premiere Entertainment Centre' because there was a nightclub there. It looks bleak. All it needs is a stray dog which I could add with Photoshop.

I'm not sure I have old b&w stuff as good as this Norm. Good composition and lighting iving texture and shadows on the walls.

I find I spend more time spotting with scanned negatives than I ever had to with darkroom prints... Something about 'kinder processes' as I say with skin tones and blemishes on film: but it may be more to do with static and the type of light source in a scanner...

I've got a 'Cord Vb, and it's very well-behaved - in some ways, it feels like the most complete camera I own, as though wide and long lenses are not required: just my Weston and a couple of rolls of FP4.

It seems like none of these mishaps mattered when you framed this and pressed the shutter button....
Lovely image.
