22 Spot Ladybird - Psyllobora vigintiduopunctata

By Mendipman
We were just about to sit down for dinner one evening, back when it was warm enough to sit outside! when I noticed this little ladybird on the Snapdragons, this is one of the smaller ladybirds at around 5mm in length and probably the most brightly coloured of all the UK ladybird species, well dinner was put on hold as I hurried off to get the camera. The shot was taken with a fairly wide aperture at f6.3 to try and keep the leaves of the flower out of focus as much as possible.

Best viewed large.

Many thanks for the votes and comments on the previous upload of the Common Frog and especially to Alan (Alan_Baseley) for your User Award, so very much appreciated.
