I love this picture taken in Aragon's Province(Spain)in one the hotest days that I've ever lived.
The country life in Spain is on the eldery's sholders now because the youth moved up to the big cities to push their fourtune.
It was 3pm by the time I was taking this shot(after one meal + one beer-only one),very hot but not enough to distress this gentleman.
That's Spain...a bit different.

great shot, a lot to like here. It's well composed, with good f/ground sharpness and good use of DoF to blur background, border works well too IMO.

Congratulations, Ovi. The reflected light from the ground enhance this old farmer's expression as he looks off into the middle distance. The out of focus plough is perfectly situated in the background making it a great environmental portrait.
Whatever calibration you have on your laptop did not prevent an outstanding image on my screen - a large 19 inch dedicated Dell monitor screen.
In our photo club here in Kilkenny we share a Spyder device to attach to the front of the monitors to calibrate them.
Your High Commendation is well deserved.

I'd have liked to see the background slightly less blurred, I think it's an important part of this old gent's environment. Apart from that, lovely candid shot of the man and congrats on the HC.

Thank you,Johny and Lydia for your comments.
Johny,I'll try to get in touch with you a bit later to discuss more about the Spyder.Thank you again for your help.
Lydia,I do appreciate your point of view but the DOF could't have worked any better in this case.More focus on that plough can be distracting.
Thank you all for your comments;special thanks to you,Johny.

P.S. The lighting in this image is the key, indeed.

Super candid - I like the plough in the bg, it's not so blurred as to be unrecognisable, and sets the scene well.
Very well deserved HC.

Looking at the picture after reading tour description, it saya it all. You're right, the youth is abandoning country life.
