3 Tins of Food & a Brambling !

By Alan_Coles
Today I decided to do some testing on my 400mm lens that came back from a service a few days ago. In order to test the focussing point I had been given some ideas how to test it...this consisted putting some tin cans at different lengths from me..they were used to replicate different birds I might shoot (photographically) There I was messing about with the micro adjustment in the settings and on the bird table i spotted a garden 1st... a BRAMBLING..whoopee. Got a few record shots which included a post in the way but so happy to get one of these at home. Here is a shot of one I took a few weeks ago in the local nature reserve...like waxwings these little beauties have travelled over from Scandinavia to feast for the winter. Need to get a shed to set up my garden for bird shooting again.
