42/52: Autumnal signs

By sherlob
I always find autumn frustrating as a photographer. Nature is superb at this time of year, but it always seems to clash with a variety of other priorities on my time - not least the start of the new academic year. In consequence, fate always seems to be somewhat against my being able to take full advantage of the season.

Mushrooms can be found at anytime of the year, but are at their most abundant in autumn - they offer an advantage in that I don't need to venture too far to find them when time is pressing against me as it has been in the last few weeks.

For those interested in tech details. This image is a composite focus stack from 33 files taken with the Helicon FB extension tube. The mushroom was approximately 1cm tall.

Best wishes,

Adam
