To finish the story...........

So I had made the Leap of Faith, as shown in yesterdays upload, and now it was Jakes turn.

Knowing how dangerous the jump was, I spent 5 minutes or so explaining to Jake that he must step across, definitely do not jump and try to land on all fours. There just isn't the space to land it on more than two limbs.

He eagerly agreed, not really listening, so excited was he to get on with it. So he climbed up and it was down to him now as I was standing away, camera in hand ready to take the shot.

Imagine the stomach in mouth moment when through the viewfinder I see this gut wrenching scene as the boy flies through the air like a cat falling from a tree, trying to land on all fours on top of a rock 3002 feet above sea level.

I can remember thinking "Oh my god his Mum's going to kill me!" but when I looked up from the camera he was clinging onto the top of the rock like a limpet asking if he could do it again.

Great days............

Now that is brave. You can see the background on this shot and if it were me I would have landed a couple of pounds lighter. ( know what I mean )

I remember you telling me this story when it all happened, it doesn't get any easier thinking about what could have happened!!! Both pics are great.

I remember those days at that age trying to jump my local brook, but most of the time I failed and got wet.

Nice action shot
