Sorry you are also feeling unwell. I've just been signed off work for 2 weeks and so am able to click away at times of the day that I'm usually busy in. First of all I just want to say what a beautiful pot this is. I love the shape and colour....................and that's even before we consider the effect of the lighting.
A very pleasing image, with gentle lighting

Stunning use of light on the smooth lines of the pot. I like the diagonal line of the window sill. Regarding composition, I'm not so sure about the flowers 'growing out of' the pot - but without them you wouldn't have that wonderful reflection!

Hi Anne. Sorry to here you're not 100% yet Sad
Well, if the subject was light I think you nailed it with this. Quite superb comes to mind. The bonus is the reflection of the vase and this in turn balances the shot nicely. Beautiful tones throughout and possibly one of your best!

Thanks to everyone for your lovely comments, and well wishes.

Paul, Dennis thanks for the confidence boost. I hope I'm improving!
Pascal, thanks for noticing that there really was a bit of work involved with this shot - including cleaning the window!

Moira, yes, I looked at the orchids and decided I could live with their placement, but will be trying different takes on this image.

Helen, you take it easy, don't get sicker!

Great image very nice light. Will

A good graduation from the shadows to the highlights here.
I think ''light'' is something we all take for granted.
It is not until you work with it,you find out what a difference it can make to an image.

Great. I would have liked to see a little more space above the flwer, and perhaps a little bit more of the vase in the window?
What I like the most is how the curve of the front pot kind of is repeated in the reflection of the vase in the window.

Good to read the theme for your photo course at the moment is lighting - and this shot works a treat. I feel the smashing lighting on the pot could be more emphasized by the removal of the flower above the lid. Love it and excellent low light captured here.
