A Bat Wing Swallowtail (Agophaneura semperi) best viewed large)

By gconant
Also known as the Red Bodied Butterfly
Indigenous to South East Asia.
Bat Wings are a relatively rare butterfly.
They are relatively large, with wingspans of 4.7 - 5.9".
Because of the plants that Bat Wing larva eat, the butterflies are distasteful to predators.
Their red color serves as a warning to potential predators.
