A Beautiful Disaster

By Morgan17
A young girl having car trouble Smile

I was trying to capture a well presented fashion advertisement, trying my best for the garment to be one of the first things you look at.

Hmm, the sky does nothing for me and those wires are unsightly. I've done a crop to remove them and the lighter bit of the car on the right that also seems to draw the eye too much.

It's an interesting photo and her pose is nice. I don't really know why I should linger too long on that nice green dress, there are other nice things to see in here... I particularly like the dark maroon of the car parts Wink
Cheers, Goggz

The first thing that hit me was the legs and the sky. The rest is too dark to immediately notice the actually have to look for it (IMHO). I like the colour of the car and the overall moodiness of the whole image though. The crop in the mod does do more to acheive what you wanted but not a great deal.
Thanks 4 the share

its an interesting and well staged shot, the composition is really good and the lighting interesting, the mid tones i think are probably a bit dark and the detail is blocking up a bit but i suppose you are going for a midnight look, problem is in a midnight shot the colour balance would be a bit more biased towards blue.
main problem for me is if you want the dress to be dominant you have chosen a bad pose because this is a legs and shoes shot, for a dress ,it should have been the dominant feature fully on view which it is not. its also not fully in the light either. so brief is probably blown despite the overall shot being good.

main thing for me is i can never understand why you would take a perfectly good shot and then type all over it. dont like the text at all.
so its a good shot for me with a few tweaks but misses the brief i guess.

well, in my opinion, a good shot, as far as composition is concerned, and i quite liked the colours, too. In my modest attempt, i tries to lighten up a little the dress, but i couldn't do too much about the underexposed areas of it. i would go for the same observation regarding the mark on the right left; a little smaller would have been a little better Smile
However, the idea is nice, the background and the lighting are interesting... waiting for some more Smile
