I like the arrangement in general here, but although the comb is probably ivory topped by silver, it makes me think of plastic and Poundland. I think it would be better without it. ( Now its not often i feel confident enough to suggest something to YOU of all people !

Actually it belonged to a long-gone aged relative - I've no idea how long she had it but it's certainly not from Poundland
Not to my taste really but as it went with the mirror I figured I'd use them together!

I like the slightly darker version in V2. This is a beautifully romantic setting which strikes just the right feminine note. I think you should keep the comb in, perhaps try turning it around or relocating it so it doesn't take center stage. It is a gorgeous set and should be kept together as such. It is definitely not plastic, cheap or any other negative thing.
