Thanks for the comments everyone. I chose a low deliberately to (a) bring the flowers really well into the foreground and (b) avoid the tops of the houses which are behind the mill breaking the skyline significantly. Yes Brian it is Whitburn windmill. A lot of the flowers were introduced several years ago as they seem to have proliferated over time. Waited almost 2 hours for the dark clouds to break and the rain to stop! One sad note: there was some significant trampling of the flowers which one local said was caused by people taking photographs with tripods. I stuck to the outside of the flower area and felt no need to move in closer. Sadly it seems a very very small minority are prepared to destroy the very habitat they are attracted to in the first place. I've seen the same around Bluebell time in North Yorkshire.
