a crowded island - for Prabhusinha.

Here is Bass Rock, the lighthouse is one of the greatest achievement of the Stevenson family of engineers. A fantastic place, one million gannets can't be wrong! Pentax 67 again. Another Blues.

Many thanks for you kind and feeling comments regarding my last upload. The town of Stralsund is near the Polish border, the picture was taken from the ferry. The architecture is influenced by the Hanse , the dutch and of course the Swedes who ruled it once. My family is Baltic and Polish, in spite of a Scots family name, those Scots emigrated to Lithuania nearly 200 years ago.

I've never managed out near Bass Rock - always wanted to get some Puffin pictures - think they
inhabit it too.
Also I didn't realise there was a Stevenson Lighthouse there!
Wonderful old image.

You're comment made me laugh aloud! It is, clearly, a most wonderful place to live. Smiled too re your family name - we Scots are everywhere, rather like the Gannets all over th Rock it would appear!Grin A superb capture.

I just love this place and have been lucky enough to have been on it twice. Right now all the gannets have migrated so it looks a different place. Ann.
