What an interesting selection of objects, and that book is just itching to be read. Love the bottles, but I'm intrigued by Matured Alcohol. Surely there's no such thing, not in my house anyway. Wink

Well put together Keith, judging by the swirly light highlights I'm guessing light painting. I do like the darker subject matter in this.

Four minutes of painting with a modified led light.

That label reads Denatured Alcohol.......which you might have known as Meths and was drunk as an alternative to ethanol. Which of course it was designed not to be. Wink

Thanks for info Keith, I can't quite get light painting to work, at least not in a single exposure (light trails from stray light) - this is excellent - like the purple wallpaper too Wink.

I was never happy with any so called tutorials on light painting.........so I came up with my own kit and method. No light trails for one. Wink

Well I thought long and hard about pressing the button, but there are not many images that get me thinking, and this does that, and for that alone it gets my user award - Its come a long way from the previous incarnation (Dr Bartholomew Pilverton) - both in composition - and more importantly the lighting.

Cheers for the award, Nick. Yes Pilverton's was a much more straightforward light and deliberately harsh to create the shadows but I forgot about what would happen to fingerprints in the light (ironic really) Wink at the time I liked it and there are many taken during the same session that I still like and use but my adapted led lights have changed the way I work on these, though they are intensive and time consuming to create.

Well composed but it is the lighting that makes this so special Keith. Its diffuse but very atmospheric. A very difficult balance to achieve I would say.
