Retaining the minimum of colour suggests July rather than January. Cunning.

Just those few pixels of red and yellow are so important.
Durham doesn't really go in for frivolities like sun or sand, does it. Or colour...

the spots of colour make the viewer look more closely.

Would have been great without the yellow and red buckets/ balloons but it's the small things that often elevate an image. This a prime example.
