A Day in the Life

By Acancarter
So what has another harmonograph image got to do with the title, you may ask. I was trying to 'imagine' the iconic multi track multi piano F major chord at the end of Day in the Life on Sgt Pepper. For a major chord (my understanding as a non-musician) is that you need a third and a fifth together. On the harmonograph I only have two platforms, so I can do a third or a fifth but not both. So I added (botched) in a third platform with a large lens, so it acted like the image stabiliser group in a camera lens. It took a lot of fiddling and tuning. I added the colour to give an additional 'note' to this and left some precession to simulate the slight detuning of the multiple pianos. A brave effort I think but only sort of worked. The version is a slightly earlier trial. I've called this 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds' - look at it and I think you will see why.

Thank you for all the votes and comments on 'Lakeland Tree' yesterday, particularly the UA from John and the very constructive comments from pablo. Thanks also for viewing my blog post on making an interactive print from a harmonograph image blog on Interactive print

I do like the lead but love the absolute colour madness of the version! Great Titles Andy!
