First - thank you to those who kindly voted or commented on my last upload. An especial note of gratitude to Colin Beeley, Saltireblue, and Derek Hanson for their esteemed user awards.
Today something completely different - a HDR image processed from seven exposures (I can't remember the last one I did!), in the crypt of the Basilica Saint Antonino in Sorrento. The floor translates as "A devotion of the faithful".
Note the display cabinets on the walls of the crypt - these offer evidence of devotion in the form of plaques in the likeness of body parts made in silver (e.g. a cabinet of legs, another of torsos etc). Each plaque represents an offering from the family of someone saved through prayer.
I have to give it to the Italians - they certainly know how to do churches.
