I like Marmite.
On toast.
With crunchy unsweetened peanut butter.
"Yum yum,"
says my tum.

I appreciate them as sculptural and as a reminder of the power of the natural world.

Aligned and spaced in this fashion they are hugely imposing, powerful in their own right. And they're there. The Jutland peninsula, wind-swept and largely flat, hosts them in large numbers; they are the ones I remember best though we now have plenty of our own, too. I do rather like them.

There are pros and cons as with everything that man does that affects the natural world. It is always a question as to whether or not it is acceptable or detrimental in the long term to the natural balance of our planet.
Wonderful image & mono

Very nice, Malc. I've no problem with them myself as they are definitely preferred to power stations.

Itís all about the chosen viewpoint I think. I love the perspective and alignment of these as the disappear into the distance highlighting the vastness of the landscape.

Isn't that so ironic? Not the sort of news that gets widely circulated...

Like Marmite - hate peanut butter (sorry Alan! 🥴 )
I also like clean air and hate waste. Lot's of air out there so use it; "Simples!" as the idiot meerkats have an annoying habit of saying. 🤬 🤯
You'd better have a gong then. 🏆

PS With advancing years I wish I could find a way of harnessing wind power. 🥴 💨

A well chosen view point, Malc'. They appear to stand watching over us all.
Great mono as always.

Personally, I love them and find them comforting and reassuring. (In a strange kind of way.)

Making an image with these as the main subject is a different matter and you have made a feature of them here instead of an 'also ran'.
Nice gritty conversion Malc.
I don't like marmite or peanut butter, Alan has strange tastes Wink

In years ti come we may well be looking back on these with the same reverence as the Dutch windmills.....

....just off to lick the marmite of the knife now.

Peanut butter and Lime Jelly work well together too. In a sandwich though... not so good on toast.

Strawberries taste slightly sweeter with a very light dusting of finely ground white pepper.

Such weird landscape and processing is your deadly combination to constitute your style, and i love it...

I think most landscape photographers curse them, while, others, myself included, try to make a feature out of them, instead of attempting to find an alternative vista to snap, or clone them out.

You have made a great use of the available subject to compose the scene, it is just the opposite where we are threatening the nature...Well Done...

Well, I love Marmite (and currently have a jar on the go) 😋 And I Ilke these wind turbines, far more photogenic than pylons. Saw loads of 'em whilst on my Isle of Man holiday, especially out at sea just of the coast by Barrow-in Furness. An excellent and striking mono here, Malc 👍

Well, it's either wind turbines in hte countryside, or a very different sort of countryside, so I'd say that they are, at the very least, a necessity.

And I also find the majority of them elegant. And maybe less intrusive than things like the Drax power station?

Like marmite, never tasted a wind turbine so i can't really give an authoritative or even
informed opinion. I do prefer them to global warming and the inevitable extinction of the
human race though.
Another rather splendid effort young Malc. I like the way you created the leading line
effect with the light and shade, or am i imagining things again...? Well done anyway.

Dave.

A new career beckons, Dave Smile

They are there, live with them, part of the landscape. If we cut off the electricity supply to those who don't want clean and renewable energy they'd soon moan. Perhaps they should go into self isolation. Oh, wait a minute...

A bold image Malc.

I love them myself, To actually see the wind's energy transformed into electricity is incredible. Great mono shot.

Great composition and processing. Iíve come to appreciate these elegant structures. Thereís a lot of them on the hilltops around here (central Portugal), my grandson calls them winterbines.
I also like marmite with crunchy peanut butter on toast so Alan youíre not alone or weird!

Most people who criticise wind turbines probably love old windmills, yet they are essentially the same, each of its own age. As has been suggested, future generations will probably acknowledge the elegant simplicity of today's turbines, so well displayed here.
