A salient reminder of the destruction and carnage we cause in the oceans of the world.Sad
Whenever I'm canoeing or SUPing I try to pick up the plastic I find and put it in my netting ... and there's plenty!

I found an equally large halibut made from plastic ocean rubbish on our recent trip to the north. Collected by school children learning about the environment by beach-cleaning.

There would be more mess to clear up if that lot turned turtle . . . (groan BlushBlushBlush)

A lesson for all. Living in a seaside town we have a beach walk about three times a year where locals can volunteer and get provided with equipment to clear the beach's of rubbish and it is amazing the amount of bags they fill. Our local school also gets some of the younger pupils to help, which gives them a lesson in recycling as well. Your image shows a novel approach, which might be more slanted to the younger people but does put it across.

Environmentalists mostly seem to go on about plastic bottles, but quite a lot of pollution which harms sealife seems to be the nets that fishermen have abandoned or those horrible plastic rings that hold cans of lager. I'm glad plastic bags are on the decrease as so many sea creatures eat them, but with so much rubbish around it seems like an impossible task to get rid of it all. Sad

A strong message that many ignore to the detriment of our environment. We should shouting from the rooftops and handing out fines to councils that don't take this seriously !! Education is needed for all, we may not have long to turn this around !! Boris needs to speak out too !!!!!
