A moth even I can spot!

By annettep38
We all know that there is Ade and everybody else when it comes to moths. Some moths though make a lot of noise like hawk moths or are so colourful that even mere mortal see them in bright daylight Smile
this one just begged to be photographed on the last bright day at the mozzie lake, end of September. Zygaena fausta or the haether zygene as it is called here is a very pretty moth closely related to the spotted burnet moth.

many thanks for you kind votes and comments on the Zinnia. Will upload the big picture in the future Smile

Some of Ade's moths look like leaves or twigs to me annette,
so it is easy to spot this one right enough !!
Well coloured shots
(And just between you and me,I am sure that Ade is having us on.
One of his moths looked like a leaf of my roll up tobacco !!)

That's a beauty, Annette, love V.2, showing off his wings to perfection. Very well captured. Did you spot him recently, all our burnet moths have disappeared now? Carol
